Monday Morning Motivation
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about ways that I can increase my posting frequency, in an effort to provide useful self improvement content on a more regular basis. One of the things that I’ve noticed is the amount of positive feedback I receive from my friends on Facebook in reference to the quotes that I frequently post on my wall.
So to me, it makes sense to expand on something that I already know provides value to people. I guess the folks that have told me to “listen to your readers” were right! 🙂
Having said that, here is a quote that you can take with you throughout the week that may help guide your thoughts, words, and actions as you go about your day(s):
“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.” – William James
SO true. The things we do, day in and day out, not only shape our lives and our ultimate destination but also the lives of many others as well. Positive actions, repeated daily, will yield positive results … and vice versa. This is the same “Slight Edge” concept that I outlined in my kaizen principles post.
The bottom line is this. Everyone has some type of “shark” in their life that they are trying to stay ahead of. I have no idea what yours is – only you do – but I do know that if you want to out-paddle that “shark”, it is extremely important to set concrete goals, put a plan in place, and take action — every day.
If you’re having difficulty setting and reaching your goals, I’d encourage you to read my post from earlier this year … it’s a great place to start.
Well, that’s it for today. Please be sure to come back next week for another dose of Monday Morning Motivation. And if you have some quotes that are personal favorites, please share them below!
